Over the Arctic Cricle

It's not north enough here in Uppsala so I travelled 1200 km up over the Arctic Circle to Abisko (with a gorgeous group of international students of course)

After 18 hours on the train we managed to get off at the wrong station so the Arctic challenge began immediately..

First night we happened to see the Aurora borealis. Unfortunately my buddies didn't want to wait hours to get the right shot and find the right spots and my outfit (jeans and skater shoes in -2°C, heavy wind and 0,5m powder) fell short for the conditions so this is what I could take in half an hour.

Camp fire on the lake. No worries, we had 1 m ice under our feet.

Abisko Skolan

Small town with busy heavy traffic. Trains are probably going to Narvik or even further.
